My husband was looking for a recipe online last week and was getting so frustrated because all of the food bloggers have a little write up before the recipe actually begins. I laughed because we totally do that.
On a crochet blog you get a little write up about the journey to the design or a little insight behind the designer. Well I am so excited to share my first pattern of 2019 that I’m just going to get to it.
Enjoy this quick and simple project that is cozy and looks a little luxurious!

MATERIALS
I HOOK 5.5mm
BERNAT VELVET Pine
YARN NEEDLE & SCISSORS
GAUGE & SIZE
10 hdc x 7 rows = 4 inch square
5.5 inches tall and 22.5 inches around
NOTES
· Starting ch2 in rows 2-6 counts as dc. Skip first st in rows 2-6.
· Starting ch1 in rest of headband does not count as st.
· If you want to add length, add rows before and after Row 21 to keep the twist centered.
· Rows 21/22 use the same technique as a crocheted cable. If you need assistance with this technique I recommend this video from Gleeful Things!

ROW 3 ch2, *bpdc, fpdc* repeat 3 more times, bpdc, dc, turn (11)
ROW 4 repeat row 2
ROW 5 ch2, *bpdc, fpdc* repeat 3 more times, bpdc, dc, ch1 (11)
NEXT ROW IS WORKED IN SIDE OF FIRST SECTION
